TIDES OUTDOOR
This collection for Tides Outdoor Furniture, was designed with simplicity of manufacturing in mind. All of the pieces in this series are meant to be assembled in a large production run, which keeps production costs very low. All of the pieces are available for purchase at www.tideshome.com.
AERO LOUNGE
The Aero Lounge for Tides Outdoor Furniture is folded out of a single 4 'x 8' sheet of aluminum, which minimizes labor, while ensuring minimum variance between finished pieces. The frame of the chair easily nests inside itself, enabling the manufacturer to keep high volumes in stock prior to assembly. The chair is available through Tides, and comes in bone white, and pewter powder coats.
TWIG CAFE
The Twig cafe table is made from stainless steel and HDPE. The two "V" shaped supports are produced in a large production run and easily stored away in bins at Tides' manufacturing facility. Fabrication takes roughly 10 min per table, as the parts are easily rosette welded together. This creates a seamless, invisible weld that does not interrupt the fluidity of the design.
FLIGHT SHELF
Break formed aluminum shelving. Debuted at BKLYN Designs 2010 in Dumbo. Water jet cut shape can be bent in both directions, creating variation in form.
FAT CHAIR
The "Fat Chair" is made from 2" aluminum tubing and aluminum sheet. The back rest and seat are riveted to the frame, which give the chair is structure. The proportions are exaggerated to give the look of childrens furniture, and the playful color options reinforce that look as well.
