anodized aluminum, is constructed with aluminum pop rivets. Its versatility enables it to be used as a single stool, or it can be flipped and used as an end table. Its modular design creates endless configurations. Available through The World's Best Ever.
TREAD ON ME
This chair was designed after stumbling on a pile of discarded oak stair treads. The problem was to design a simple profile that could easily be waterjet cut and bent to easily utilize the tread as a seating surface. The treads can be cut to various lenghts, accomodating a myriad of different sized behinds. Available here.
THE 24 HOUR BAR
The bar was comissioned by The World's Best Ever, and debuted at their annual party. The bar is made from found materials and was designed in collaboration with Chris Williams. Work started at 530 PM on Wednesday. We finished the bar at 430 in the morning on Saturday, started drinking Root at 1PM and blacked out by 930 at what I'm told was a great party.
MANTIS STONE AXE
This project was part of a studio taken while fulfilling my Master's degree at Pratt Institute. The problem was to create an object that could cut through a 3" piece of wood. Contraints were such that no power tools could be used in constuction of the object. The end result was a shaping axe, modeled off of the anatomy of a duck. Mantis is made from teak, leather, hemp twine, and African wunderstone.
CHARLOTTE BIN
This receptacle gives a visual weight to the refuse the user produces. Bronze was chosen to give the bin value and importance, while the trash added serves as ornament. The clear basket makes the user aware of his waste production and seeks to shame them into using less. Designed with Christopher Williams and Laura Weatherly.
YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU
Exhibited at the Model Citizens NYC show in 2010, this project was a commentary on the American attitude towards death from an ecological and sociological standpoint. The idea was to take sleek, minimal, almost steril furniture and start the decay process. The pieces were set up in a way to look as though a flood had just struck, and the victims didnt bother taking their possesions, becuase in context, they didnt matter. Pamphlets were strewn across the ground containing information pertaining to the ecoligical and psycholical implications of our choices as people in regards to burial.
AGNI FIRE BOWL
The Hindu god of fire.
Ever Young.
Light a fire in Agni
Gather, admire,be warm, be glowing.

UNDERGRADUATE WORK
The following pieces were completed during my undergaduate studies at Towson University from 2002-2003. While more sculpture that furniture, these objects embody ideas that I would later revisit.
Pieces shown: Splitting Headache Knife Block, Foyer chair, and STRIKE! Match Block.
COMFORT LIGHT
As a child I was afraid of the dark. My mother would leave the door to the hallway open to let light in and ease my fears. The light from the outside let me know someone was there.
The Comfort light embodies this concept, while creating a more playfull mood than an ordianary night light.
BAMBI COAT RACK
Inspired by a certain Disney runimant mammel, this simple coat rack is made of solid bronze. It is then treated with a antique black patina, and burnished on each end.
